Camden partial care counselor raped child, prosecutor says

Two men were arrested within days of each other on separate charges of sexually assaulting children in treatment programs, authorities in Camden and Bergen counties said.
Steven Brown, 28, a counselor with a partial care program in Camden, was arrested on Tuesday after it was reported to police that he had sexually assaulted a child under 13, according to the acting district attorney. Camden County, Jill Mayer.
Brown has been charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and endangering the well-being of a child.
The Lindenwold resident, as reported by Courier Post, remains in Camden County Jail awaiting trial.
In an unrelated case in North Jersey, Garry J. Rucker, 31, was a weekend supervisor at a children’s treatment center in Hackensack when he engaged in sexual behavior, including sexual penetration, d ‘a child under 13, Bergen County District Attorney Mark Musella said.
Following the incident on June 19, Rucker left the facility and never returned as state and county officials were alerted.
He was found and arrested in Paterson a few days later, on June 25.
Rucker, of Hackensack, has been charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault by contact and endangering the well-being of a minor.
