80s Chaos in Black Cat
Of ABC To Yaz, the 1980s were responsible for producing some of the most recognizable music to dance to. Come on October 30, you and your interior Stay Puft Marshmallow Man can relive the whole decade had to offer at Black Cat’s Eighties Mayhem: Ghostbusters dance party. Hosted by DJ Steve EP‘s FYM Productions, well known for its new wave and post-punk events like Cryfest — The Cure vs. The Smiths Dance Party, this Halloween event has become something of an annual tradition in DC Last year’s event was virtual, making this year’s party a big comeback. The event promises the ‘best dance music of the 80s’ by DJ MissGuided, Killa K, and Steve EP himself. Partygoers better expect classical dance hits from groups like New order, Dispatch Mode, and The treatment as well as a few Halloween-themed entries. So do like Danny elfman orders in “Dead Man’s Party”: “Everyone is coming, leave your body at the door!
