Fridays under the porch
Nixa firefighters invite the public to return to “Front Porch Fridays,” open invitations for families to visit the Nixa fire stations from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday summer nights. Fire stations will be open at 711 North Main Street, 301 South Nicholas Road and 1295 West Guin Road. As long as the doors are open and the firefighters are not responding to an emergency, everyone is welcome to meet the firefighters, take photos with trucks, and tour.

Smart Bluejay 5K
Register before June 26 to guarantee a T-shirt on race day. Proceeds will go towards a scholarship for a 2021 Clever High School graduate. The 5K starts at 7:30 am at Clever EleMiddle School, 401 West Inman Street. Prizes will be awarded to the best overall and the fastest runners in seven age categories. Registrations will be accepted until 7:25 am on the day of the race. Register online at http://actnowracing.com.

C3 cornhole tournament
Grab your lawn chair and join the Ozark and Nixa Rotary clubs for a fun family event. Teams of two people will compete with a registration fee of $ 50. There will be prizes for the top three. Food trucks and other family entertainment will be onsite at the Nixa X Center, 701 North Taylor Way. The action begins at 2 p.m. and 100 percent of the proceeds go to the Christian County 100 Club to support the families of deceased first responders in Christian County. Intelligent Freedom Celebration
The Clever Chamber of Commerce is hosting their community’s 2021 fireworks show at Clever High School. Guests can start arriving at 5:00 p.m. Browse vendor stalls and shop for delicious food while celebrating the Clever nation and community. The fireworks start at dusk. Nixa Sky High Fireworks
Step outside and enjoy a community celebration and fireworks display at 6 p.m. at Eagle Stadium at Nixa High School. It costs $ 5 per car to park on school property at Mathews High School or Elementary School, with the proceeds going to Nixa High School Band Boosters. Entrance to the stadium is free, and there will also be a picnic area on the field west of Eagle Stadium. The dealership booth will be open and there will be live music from CC Rhythm and Psychobilly Cadillac. More details at http://nixachamber.com.

Fireworks at Billings
Head to Billings City Park for a fireworks display. Celebration of the founding of a nation with a bang beginning at dusk. Free entry.

Jurassic World
The Movies in the Park series continues in Nixa with a screening of âJurassic Worldâ. The films take place at McCauley Park, 701 North Taylor Way. Bring your own lawn chairs and / or blankets and enjoy the dinosaurs coming to life. Concessions will be available for purchase. Alcoholic drinks are not allowed. The event depends on the weather.

The Ozark Police Department is hosting a “bring your own bike” event at the Police Station, 201 East Brick Street, from 6 to 8 p.m. get a chance to win a new bike. Sports clay tournament
The Cosmopolitan Club of Ozark is hosting the Christian County Kids Benefit Sports Clay Tournament at the Ozark Shooters Sports Complex, 759 US Highway 65 in Walnut Shade. Registration is at 9 a.m., shooting from 10 a.m. Competitors will shoot 100 sports clays. Ammo will be available for purchase on the day of the event.
