The leader of the Foo Fighters Dave Grohl joined an interview with MSNBC’s Ari Melber and talked about bringing new approaches to music. Grohl claimed that his daughter, Purplecould revolutionize the whole genre with his style while sharing his ideas on the next Nirvana.

Following his short-lived marriage to photographer Jennifer Leigh Youngblood, Dave Grohl married Jordyn Blum in 2003. The married couple have three children. Violet Maye, Harper Willow and Ophelia Saint. The eldest daughter of the musician Violet followed in his father’s footsteps for some time by showing his unrivaled vocal talent on different occasions.

Fans realized this situation, especially when they watched his rendition of the famous song by American punk rock band X ‘Nausea‘ from their debut studio album ‘Los Angeles’ at the 2021 Lollapalooza Festival. Almost everyone in attendance was amazed by her voice and singing, and most of them said she would soon be a successful musician. Next, Violet’s tribute to Joni Mitchell for the greatly appreciated MusiCares Person of the Year gala.

Moreover, the famous drummer pointed out that as a longtime member of the group, it is no longer his job to set general trends and revolutionize the music. However, according to Grohl, his daughter can be an essential figure in a revolutionary act defining her as a punk rock Joni Mitchell. The Foo Fighters leader believes his generation’s change and growth can also form the next Nirvana if they are lucky enough and wait patiently.

Grohl said in his interview that:

“I don’t feel like it’s our job as a group to create a revolution. It’s to bring everyone together. It’s my daughter’s job to create this next revolution, and I think she will. I always bet on the future when this is the next nirvana. She looks like a punk rock kid listening to Joni Mitchell. So it’s a bit like a punk rock Joni Mitchell.

When I see that, what I see is this mutation, this change, this growth and this progression that his generation, they are the rock stars now. They are not old people like me. These are not people like Kanye. It’s this generation. Give it five or ten years, give it three or four years, and you will see how this mutation occurs.
