Jason chatting with Halloween man cartoon creator Drew edwards on his IndieGogo to raise funds to alleviate medical expenses related to Covid Terry parr, comic book creator Aerobic. The Indiegogo project: the Aerobic / Lucy Chaplin Science Starlet Crossover.
For those who are not familiar, Lucy Chaplin is an adventurer in her own titles and in the Halloween man universe, where she uses a combination of super-science and sensuality to battle a bizarre array of villains. His universe is the one Edwards describes as the 2021 people in the fifties thought we would have. Terry Parr’s creation, Aerobicide, is an action comic set in the 80s, starring “aerobics, heavy metal, yuppies, weightlifters and ninjas”. Creator Terry Parr is a Korean-American artist and writer currently living in Fort Worth. Terry is known for his pin-up comic / manga style. His works can be seen on Ninja High School (Antarctic Press), Aerobicide, The Extreme Ninja Workout, Vampirella, Dusk Comics, Rio Bravo Comics, TeeFury, and Project A-Kon (America’s 4th largest anime convention).

Said the organizer:
Everyone knows that the past year has been filled with unprecedented challenges. It was as if Covid-19 changed the world overnight and we were all in a rush to keep up with these changes. Some of us have been hit harder than others.
Terry Parr is a father, husband and comic book creator. I have been proud to call Terry a friend and a creative partner for almost two decades. He is extremely talented, imaginative and wizard with a pencil. He’s like a brother to me. So of course when he got sick I knew I had to help him.
Like so many others, Terry was hit with high medical bills after contracting Covid-19. Fortunately, a solution came in the form of an independent comic book cross between my own Lucy Chaplin: Science Starlet and Terry’s Aerobicide. Based on a story from myself and Terry, I assembled a talented creative team to bring this story to life. This comic has it all, muscular girls, pop culture references, gallows humor and of course PUNK ROCK ZOMBIES! Best of all, the proceeds from this crowdfunding will help the Parr family cover Terry’s medical bills.
