Pharrell Williams and Chanel Launch Brand Mentorship Program
Pharrell Williams has a long history of supporting black and Latinx-owned start-ups and startups in the tech, design, healthcare, consumer products and services industries. That’s why he started his non-profit organization, Black Ambition. Today, he is teaming up with French fashion house Chanel to offer black and Latino entrepreneurs an incredible opportunity.
They have launched a two-part mentoring program that will provide âaccess to knowledge, ideas and opportunities from leading industry expertsâ. The first part was the “Women Who Lead” panel, which was broadcast live on Friday for Black Ambition semi-finalists and members of the network. It starred CEO, producer and actress Tracee Ellis Ross, Medley co-founder Edith Cooper, Good American CEO and co-founder Emma Grede, Imaginary Ventures co-founder and partner Natalie Massenet.
Ross mentioned during the conversation: “Historically, black and brunette women have no interest in what they make and are not trained or taught, socially, culturally, to actually have fairness in the things they do. they build. ” And that is why avenues like the Chanel Partner Program and Black Ambition are important.
Part Two is a series of interactive mentoring workshops for Black Ambition Award finalists, by the executive community and Chanel’s network of experts, to help them build and sustain their brands.

Success really has a lot of authors. Usually when you say “success has a lot of authors”, it’s an attack on people who haven’t done anything but take the credit for it. In that particular sense, when it comes to running a business, success has a lot of authors – it takes a lot of signatures to co-sign to get a whole new idea off the ground. “
