After the novel coronavirus pandemic forced this year’s So Cal Hoedown to be canceled, festival organizers are planning a 2021 return to San Pedro for punk, psychobilly and rockabilly hootenanny.
The fourth edition of the festival will take place on June 26 at the Port of Los Angeles and feature music on multiple stages from artists such as Fishbone, Bouncing Souls, Reel Big Fish, The Untouchables and TSOL of Long Beach. Other groups will be announced in the coming months.
Tickets are on sale for the event for all ages, which will run from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Early bird tickets for general admission cost $ 50.12 each, and children 10 and under enter free. Tickets purchased for the 2020 show will be honored for the 2021 edition.
Originally held in the fall in Santa Ana before moving to San Pedro for a show in October 2019, So Cal Hoedown 2020 was slated to become a summer event and take place in San Pedro on August 22. But like all major events since March, it had to be postponed due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. Fishbone, TSOL and the Untouchables were among the artists expected in 2020 who will appear in 2021 instead.
