Welcome Girl (In more than one way)
Just released from the release of their sixth full studio album, Beloved, Daughtry is on tour and also comes to Wellmont. In 2006, Chris Daughtry won our hearts on American Idol. That same year, he formed the now highly regarded post-grunge pop rock group, Daughtry. The band quickly rose to stardom, reaching the top of the Billboard Top 200 in 2007 with their self-titled debut album, which was six times platinum… of course. Since then, the group has produced albums that cover the rock universe, with Beloved being what some call “a return to their roots”. If you want to hear the band we fell in love with 15 years ago in all their melodic, cutting-edge splendor, you can do so in Montclair on November 16th. Buy tickets here or enter to win a pair here!
Over three decades of Psychedelic furs
The British invade again via The Psychedelic Furs. First success in the United States in 1981 with their second album Speak Speaking Speaking, The Psychedelic Furs has played an influential role in the British post-punk and new wave world. In 2020 they released Made of rain, a mind-blowing record in itself, but especially considering the fact that they hadn’t released a studio record since 1991. Thirty years later, we’ve had something as special as before. The group even cited modern influences in bands like The Killers and Arctic Monkeys, as well as returning to classics with Roxy Music. With an album like this, The Psychedelic Furs could attract new fans along with their older ones. However, the latter were deprived of this group on tour because of the pandemic. Fortunately, nature has started to heal and now we can see The Psychedelic Furs returning to their roots on stage on November 17th to perform both their new brit-pop inspired songs and their classic punk hits. Gin flowers” Alt Rock specialties arrive in Montclair
The jangly folk sound of ’90s alternative rock is back with the Gin Blossoms playing at Wellmont on November 19. On tour for over 30 years, frontman Robin Wilson and the band know how to put on a great show. For their casual fans, the band is ready to play their classics like “Hey Jealousy” and “Found Out About You”, but the Gin Blossoms don’t stop there, as they didn’t stop in the 90s. 2018 they released Mixed reality, which featured songs that fit perfectly into their folk rock set list. If the pandemic has kept you from performing, let the experienced Gin Blossoms take you back to live music with their nostalgic mix of southern folk from the late 80s and early 90s. Rock. It is a specialty of theirs ready to be heard by all. Buy tickets here or enter to win a pair here!
