[VIDEO] ‘Queen of the Universe’ trailer: full cast revealed on Paramount +
Drag artists from all corners of the cosmos – or at least several countries on Earth – are heating up their voices to compete for the title of Queen of the universe.
Paramount + has released the official trailer for its upcoming drag singing contest, along with the names of the 14 testing queens miking.
Read on to find out all the people who will face the judges – Vanessa Williams, Trixie Mattel, Leona Lewis and Michelle Visage – at the Queen of the Universe premiere on Thursday, December 2:
ADA VOX (San Antonio, Texas) | “A former Top 10 American Idol competitor, Ada is living proof that everything is bigger in Texas, including her voice! As a 7-year-old (and older) performer, Ada is ready to show off her vocal skills on a global platform and achieve the redemption she seeks.
ARIA B CASSADINE (Atlanta, Georgia) | “The 2018 winner of Miss Gay Black America is set to add the title of ‘Queen of the Universe’ to her already extensive collection of wreaths. After starting her drag journey on a challenge from a friend, Aria takes to the world stage ready to grab another victory for her already impressive drag CV.
BETTY BITSCHLAP (Copenhagen, Denmark) | “Full time performer both in and out of the drag, Betty will rock you! When it comes to style, Betty has range; in the blink of an eye, she can effortlessly go from a punk-rock fantasy to a glamorous sequined dress with a no-n-hair-out-of-place bun.
CHY’ENNE VALENTINO (Chicago, Illinois) | This queen has “been singing since the age of 5 and burst onto the stage at age 18, competing to win Miss Continental Plus in 2018. A former American Idol A competitor who now runs her own bakery called Pound Your Cakes, she’s ready to hammer her vocal cords and prove herself worthy of the crown.
GINGZILLA (Sydney, Australia) | “After attending a performing arts school in Australia and a clown school in Paris, Gingzilla, originally from Australia, is 7 feet tall, doesn’t need much to stand out in a crowd! Used to the competition, Gingzilla played on America has talent and The X factor in the UK – but now this diva is ready to conquer the universe.
GRAG QUEEN (Canela, Brazil) | “Brazilian bombshell Grag Queen grew up singing in church from an early age. Now she finds herself talking to the masses on social media with 2 million TikTok fans, all of whom love her outrageous performances and top personality.
JUJUBEE (Boston, Massachusetts) | “A double RuPaul’s Drag Race All star whose personality has captured the hearts of millions of people, Jujubee is a multi-threat: lip-sync assassin, actress, recording artist, makeup artist – she does it all! Best known around the world for her glamorous and stylistic drag, she’s ready to show the world that she’s not just a pretty face – she also has a voice that’s amazing enough to match!
THE VOICE (London, England) | “The Queen of La Voix’s hometown has already experienced royalty firsthand, having appeared before the British Royal Family before. A former participant in England has an incredible talent which now sells theaters across the country, its name is French and simply means “The Voice!” “”
LÉONA WINTER (Paris, France) | “A baritone countertenor with a three octave voice that is often called ‘very pretty’ by fans and admirers around the world. Having also figured in the Forbes List of the 30 under 30, the fluent trans / genre performer is ready to break into the global stage and share her gift of song with the world.
REGINA VOCE (Mexico) | “With over 30 years of stage experience and a former Cirque Du Soleil artist, Regina now works as a vocal coach. The word Regina in Spanish means “queen” and Voce in Italian means “voice”, so Regina Voce is literally “the queen of the voice” – will the stars align to become “the queen of the universe? “? “
WOOWU (Guangzhou, China) | “Self-taught singer WooWu left her traditional Cantonese home in Guangzhou for the bright lights of Shanghai.
