Watch Donnie Vie Become Batman in ‘Party Time’: Premiere
[ad_1]
Former Enuff singer Z’Nuff Donnie Vie disguises himself as Batman in his new video, “Party Time”. You can watch the exclusive premiere of the clip below.
“Look at me, I look ridiculous,” he told UCR. âI didn’t get in shape for that or anything. It reminds me of Howard Stern as Fartman. I didn’t take it seriously. I had a lot of fun with it, and I think people are going to have fun. “
The Batman-themed video was the vision of director Todd Causley, who works with Chicago-based Klairmont Kollections. The company’s holdings include over $ 500 million worth of classic automobiles, including the original Batmobile.
There is no doubt that Vie was thrilled to be behind the wheel. âI have to drive the fucking Batmobile,â he said. “It’s a badass car. That asshole is fast. He’s got a big engine. You just feel the power. It’s very small inside. I had a hard time getting in and out of it. go out.
But it took a while for the party time to come. “I tried to write a party hymn, like [by Kiss’] âRock and Roll All Nite,â something like that, for a million years, âhe said. [ZâNuff] and I was trying to write one [back in the day]. It’s easy to find something cheesy, but it still has to have the integrity of what I do and sound like me with the same ideology and everything.
As the verses flowed he heard âa bit of R&B and soulâ seep into the arrangement and moved quickly. âWe went in and hammered,â he says. Z’Nuff added bass to the song and also appears in the video.
“Party Time” is one of the new songs included on The Donnie Vie collection, a USB-based box set that brings together five solo LPs plus a sixth album of unreleased material and rarities. There is also video content and a bunch of extras. âI hope you enjoy it, because I’m already in the next one,â he said.
âIt’s almost hard for me to really start working on this album, because all I’m interested in now is this new stuff I’m recording. I can’t wait for people to hear that. Unfortunately, I just found a lot of good songs too. I can’t do anything about it! “
